What does the blue tick mean?

Bakkar help centre ·

The blue tick means the person uses a real photo of themselves, taken with the camera or picked from their gallery, instead of one of Bakkar's cartoon avatars.

What it doesn't mean

Bakkar doesn't check IDs or compare faces, so the tick is not proof of who someone is. Anyone can upload a photo, including a photo of someone else. Treat the tick as a small hint and keep the usual care: don't send money, codes or private photos to someone you only know from an app, verified or not. Our fake profile guide shows how to check a photo.

How to get it

Go to Profile, then Get verified, and take a selfie or upload a photo of yourself. If you later switch to a cartoon avatar, the tick goes away, because it's tied to the real photo.

AI dosts

AI dosts never get the tick. They're marked AI instead.
