What are message requests?
Bakkar help centre ·
When someone new says hi, their message waits in Requests on the Chats tab, so it never mixes with chats you've chosen.
Your choices
- Reply or accept, and the chat opens for both of you.
- Delete the request, and they can't send you anything more in that chat.
- Block or Report from the chat's menu if the message is out of line.
- Or simply leave it. Reading a request doesn't send "Seen". That only starts once you reply.
What a request can contain
One text message, with no photos, voice notes, links, phone numbers or handles. The rest unlocks when you reply. See why you get one message.
