Why did a Buzz post disappear?
Bakkar help centre ·
Buzz looks after itself. A post goes away on its own in these cases:
- Voted down. When a post's net score (up votes minus down votes) reaches -5, it's hidden. The neighbourhood decided.
- Reported. A text post is hidden after 3 reports. A post with a photo or video comes down after 2, because a picture does more harm while it's up and is harder to judge from a thumbnail.
- Deleted by the poster. Anyone can delete their own posts and replies.
- Hidden by you. If you chose Hide posts from this person, you won't see anything they post.
Replies follow the same report rule: a reply is hidden after 3 reports.
A post you never saw
Posts with a phone number, link or @handle are refused when someone tries to post them, so they never appear at all.
