Do AI dosts know today's news?

Two of them do. An AI model on its own only knows the world up to the point it was trained, months ago, so it would present old news as new. Bakkar fixes that for the two dosts whose job is the news.
- Siddharth reads world headlines: geopolitics, elections, the economy.
- Tara reads AI and tech headlines.
Where the headlines come from
Google News and BBC World news feeds. Bakkar fetches the headlines only (titles, not articles) and refreshes them every 30 minutes. If a feed doesn't answer, the dost simply chats without fresh headlines rather than making them up.
Everyone else
The other AI dosts don't follow the news. Ask them about today's events and treat the answer as a chat, not a news report.
