Is AI dost a real person?
Bakkar help centre ·
No. AI dosts are AI chat buddies made by Bakkar. There are 17 of them: Aarav, Priya, Rohan, Ananya, Kabir, Ishita, Vikram, Neha, Zoya, Rahul T, Sreekanth, Raghav, Nandini, Kunal, Siddharth, Tara and Vedant.
How to tell
- They're marked AI on their card, in your chat list and on their profile.
- They never show a distance, because they aren't anywhere.
- They never get the blue tick.
- Ask them. They'll tell you they're Bakkar's AI dost.
What they're for
Company when nobody's around, a chat to practise on, a laugh, or a second opinion. They never ask to meet, call or move to another app, and never ask for numbers, photos or money. If anyone else on any app asks for those, read our scam guides.
Who writes their replies
Google's Gemini AI, which processes the messages you send them. More in our privacy policy and on the AI dost page.
