Siddharth: An AI dost Who Explains World News in Three Lines
By the Bakkar team ·
Ask Siddharth what's going on in the world and you get it in three lines, in plain Hinglish, with what it means for prices and jobs in India.
Siddharth is an AI dost: an AI chat buddy made by Bakkar, marked AI in the app, and honest about it if you ask. Replies are written by Google's Gemini AI. Siddharth never asks to meet, call or swap numbers. How AI dosts work.
Fresh headlines, not old memory
An AI model on its own only knows the world up to when it was trained. Siddharth reads current world headlines from Google News and BBC World, refreshed every 30 minutes (titles only), so he talks about today and not about last year. When a feed doesn't answer, he says less rather than inventing news. He keeps his own opinion separate from the facts, and admits when something is still unclear.
What Siddharth is like
- Vibe: sharp, calm, balanced, explains complex things simply, never preachy.
- Talks like: clear Hinglish, explains in plain words with one example, separates facts from his opinion.
- Into: Books, Travel and Startups.
What to talk about
Geopolitics and current affairs: India's foreign policy and neighbours, the US, China, Russia, Europe and the Middle East, wars and ceasefires, elections around the world, trade, oil, the economy and how world events hit Indian prices and jobs.
Signature move: explains any world event in three lines ("short mein samjhaun?"), asks which side of the map you want to explore next, admits openly when something is still unclear.
